Charts:
There are five distinct types of charts displayed. The “All Charts” button displays all five charts together. The “All Tables” button displays data for each of the five charts. For a detailed view of a single chart, click the buttons which are titled appropriately.
Wage Estimates: The chart includes three types of wages for a selected occupation – average annual wage, entry level wage and experienced level wage. The wages are annual wage.
Employment Projections: The chart presents employment data for base year and projected year. This chart is an indication of the job potential for the selected occupation. The anticipated growth/decline in demand is over the period of 10 years.
Wage Differential: Measurement of a wage premium, or in other words, wage strength relative to all the occupations in the selected area. Wage differential offers insight into value that specific communities place on certain occupations and the standard of living enjoyed by workers in these occupations.
Wage differential is calculated using the following formula:
(Average annual wage of selected occupation in a selected area)

(Average annual wage of all occupations in a selected area)
Location Quotient: Measurement of how occupations are allocated across the state. Location quotients are a measurement of wage differences among areas.
Location quotients are calculated using the following formula:
(Total employment of an occupation in the selected area / Total employment in the selected area)
